The resonating vibes of good governance in Abia state has caught the attention of a recognized tabloid in the country. On the occasion of the celebration of Daily Times Newspaper, a front line national acclaimed news tabloid at ninety one, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and three other states chief executives have been pencilled down for Award of Honour on the 16th of May 2017.
This welcomed development is hinged on exceptional outing in administration, using the parameters for good governance globally. It is no gainsaying that Governor Ikpeazu has demonstrated unimaginable dexterity and in the business of governance, thus charting a new cause for a State that was on the verge of being tagged persona non grata.
It is on record, the nascent innovations and brand new reforms that the Ikpeazu’s government initiated, which has rewind the hand of the clock of the economy from a retrogressive Abia to a progressive Abia.
Notably is the Made-in-Aba campaign, seeking to boost the demand of our indigenous brands, both nationally and internationally, which visibly has borne many benefits as evidenced by the astronomical demand for Made-in-Aba in wares, with its attendant catalytic effect on the State’s economy with the Made-in-Aba drive, of which the Governor is the chief marketer, recently remoulded to Make-in-Aba, an aphorism encouraging industrialists and entrepreneurs to setup their firms in the State thus opening more frontiers for industrialization and job creation for our citizens. This bold economic blueprints has been vindicated owing to wide spectrum adulations it has been receiving hence the award for Governor Ikpeazu is not only earned but reverberating.
Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu’s administration has engraved its name in the tombstone of time by conducting the local government elections in the State after decades, thus ending the history of appointment of Transition Chairmen and detaching this very important tier of government that is nearest to the grassroots from the apron strings of the State.
Above all, the award to Governor Ikpeazu is a testimonial to the transparency and performance in governance he has traditionalized in God’s Own State which has given birth to many landmark achievements the administration is heralded for.
