MAZI UKONU MOURNS AS HIS COUSIN, EZE NWAGBARA WAS LAID TO REST
The remains of His Royal Majesty EZE (DR) Eze Victor Nwagbara, the Eze Oha ll of Amaitolu Autonomous Community, Osisioma Ngwa LGA has been laid to rest at his palace.
In his sermon at the funeral service, Bishop Mike Onuoha of St. Paul’s United Spiritual Church of Christ, Umuekpe Amavo, who spoke on the topic “Death is a Transit,” described death as a necessary end for all mortals and enjoined everyone to lead a good life preparatory to the time of death.
In a tribute, the first son of the deceased, Prince Victor Enyinnaya Nwagbara said his late father lived a life of honesty and integrity.
In an interview, the elder cousin of the late Eze, Mazi Ndubuisi Ukonu paid glowing tribute to the deceased describing him as a bosom friend who was more than a brother.
He likened his rise from childhood until death to a candle in the wind that burns fast but one who lived a fulfilled life both in business and as a traditional ruler.
The burial was graced by many dignitaries including Engineer Enyinnaya Nwafor, son of a former Deputy Governor of Abia State, Hon. (Chief) Eziuche Ubani as well as other prominent politicians and traditional rulers in and around Abia State.
