The Governor’s wife, Mrs Nkechi IKpeazu, has called on public spirited individuals and the organized private sector to join hands with the State Government to develop the State and uplift the welfare of the downtrodden in the State.

Speaking while handing over the buildings to the beneficiaries, Mrs Ikpeazu reiterated that she is determined to sue her position to touch positively the lives of the less-privileged in the society adding that shelter is important to the good health of every mortal.

She noted that the building of the houses for these classes of citizens will continue and spread across the seventeen local government areas of the state, pointed out that her activities are complementary roles to Governor Okezie IKpeazu’s good governance to Abians.

Responding, the beneficiaries Mrs. Nwaogbo Salome Isaiah, Mrs. Harriet Andrew and Mrs. Lovina Obiekpe expressed gratitude to the wife of the Governor and prayed God to make their administrations successful.

In addition, the wife of the Governor also presented cash gift, and wrappers to the widows who were attended to by notable women in the State.
