The drive of the wife of the governor of Abia State, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu has been a model for many well-spirited individuals who have toed that path with similar passion to add meaning to the lives of Nigerians cum Abians.
One of those who has toed this path is the Hon. Commissioner for Trade and Investment Abia State, Mrs. Kate Enwereji Nwosu. Mrs. Kate Nwosu has continually pledged her total commitment, love and support towards the less privileged as it is a service to God and mankind.
Speaking during her Women Empowerment programme for the beneficiaries in the ten political blocs in Osisioma Ngwa LGA at the palace of H.R.M Eze Edward Enwereji of Arungwa Ancient Kingdom, Mrs. Nwosu said that she is poised to toe the footsteps of her Excellency Deaconess Nkechi Okezie Ikpeazu who is totally committed towards empowering Abia women.
She maintained her loyalty, dedication and determination to serve the good people of Osisioma Ngwa L.G.A in particular and Abia State government with a great desire to take Abia to a higher pedestal.
In her remarks, the representative of the wife of the Governor at the event, Lady Gold Nwanunu thanked the women of Osisioma Ngwa L.G.A for their show of unalloyed and unflinching support to the government of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu. She encouraged the women to take the center stage in political participation, maintaining that the female folk has the requisite ability and qualities to lead the nation aright.
In their separate reactions, the P.D.P Chairman Osisioma Ngwa L.G.A, Chief I.C Ufomba, H.R.M Eze Enwereji, Hon. Chief Akor, Hon. Michael Dina, Hon. Mrs. Rose Aguwa and P.D.P stakeholders express their heart felt gratitude to God Almighty and to the Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu for a rear gift to them in the person of Mrs Nwosu, describing her as a mother with a heart of gold. They urged the women to be appreciative of the financial empowerment being given to them and strive to make a judicious use of the fund.
In a vote of thanks, a frontline politician in Osisioma Ngwa L.G.A, Chief Allen Nwachukwu thanked the Hon. Commissioner Mrs Kate Nwosu for her philanthropism and equally urged her not to be deterred by any forces and called on other political office holders of Osisioma Ngwa L.G.A to emulate Mrs. Nwosu and also remain steadfast with P.D.P., as well as maintain their support for Governor Ikpeazu.
