Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has provided an update on the disbursement guidelines for the recently approved N30,000 pocket money for each student of Abia origin at the Abia State University, to help them cushion the effects of covid-19.
The Governor in a series of tweets, outlined the guidelines to include that all Departmental student leaders are to compile names of students of Abia origin in their respective Departments, that the University management is to also raise a similar list while the Government will cross match both lists and commence payment from December.
According to him, the list shall include such details of the students as, Name of student Community of Origin, LGA of Origin, Phone Number, as well as Account Number.
He reiterated the commitment of his Government to the welfare of our youths, whether as students, artisans or entrepreneurs.
