Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu, Wife of Abia State Governor has assured Abia people that the second term in office of her husband would consolidate on good works and better governance to the people of the State.
Mrs. Ikpeazu gave the assurance in a thanksgiving service held today at Michael Okpara Auditorium in Umuahia. She expressed her gratitude to God for granting them success she as well thanked Abia people for their massive support in re-electing Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
According to her, before the election, the prayer group prayed for peace and security in Abia State and God answered the prayer, hence, the reason they gathered to return all the glory to Him. She said the victory is another opportunity to take Abia to a greater height and assured that the Dr. Ikpeazu led administration would continue to build on the gains recorded so far in the State.
The Governor’s wife revealed that for those who voted against the Peoples Democratic Party secretly, they have no grudges against them. She urged all to put party politics behind and come together to work for the progress of Abia State.
Earlier, the Coordinator Abia Prayer Network, Reverend Patrick Ikechi in a message titled “It is done, It is irreversible” said that God is a God of equity and justice.
He called on all to support and rejoice with those who God has blessed, explaining that identifying with success brings one to success at the due time. He urged all to learn how to celebrate with others who are being celebrated.
