OVERWHELMED: GOVERNOR IKPEAZU’S NUMEROUS ACHIEVEMENTS THROW OPPOSITIONS OFF BALANCE

…God will hand them over to you. He will throw them into complete confusion until they are destroyed – Deuteronomy 7:23

Let me share one of my secrets with you here. I am not a prayer warrior, yes, and I don’t believe that long prayers will make any difference no matter the case. Emphatically, my prayer is always a quick 1 to 3 minutes prayer, but I always single out certain Bible verses, believing in them to impact in my day to day life and it has never failed, never for once. It took me a while to birth and maintain this way of thinking. It didn’t come easy.

After thorough examination of the modus operandi of those who pose as oppositions in our dear Abia State, their blatant lies and discourteous languages towards our elder statesmen, I decided to find a suitable Bible verse that will tackle and address their excesses, and in my search, Deuteronomy 7:23 came to the fore. This goes to say that the dirty politics, including smear campaign and the rest, practiced by the presumed opposition in Abia against God’s servant and the people’s Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu can not unpunished.

The recent Governorship Election Debates in Abia State has really shown that the incumbent Governor and flag bearer of the big umbrella party, the Peoples Democratic Party, Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D is very much on ground with issues that concerns Abia and Abians. It equally proved that the Governor has performed well and is very much ready to do more for the good people of the State.

It was obvious at the debate that the opposition candidates who had the courage to participate in the debate got thrown off balance on account of the numerous achievements of the State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu. The opposition candidates were actually looking for space because the Governor’s overwhelming achievements covered all their manifestoes.

The governorship candidates in the debate actually confessed that Dr. Ikpeazu has done very well. Even the APGA factional governorship candidate, Mr. Alex Otti, who recently, at channels Tv denied that Dr. Ikpeazu has constructed roads in Aba and across Abia, at the debate made a u-turn and acknowledged that he (Otti) has seen above 50 roads done by Dr. Ikpeazu. Mr. Alex Otti in particular, confirmed that Ikpeazu built about 59 roads and even constructed bridges that leads to Otti’s community, known as Okobo bridge. It was surprising that Otti thanked the Governor for constructing that bridge.

In the debate, the opposition candidates were seen struggling and finding it difficult to lie or criticise Dr. Ikpeazu in order to sell themselves to the people. They all ended up acknowledging the irrevocable fact that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has done well in office.

It is imperative to stress also that among all the things highlighted as manifestoes of all the opposition candidates, including Blessing, Emeka and Alex are what the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu is doing already.
For instance, they talked about agriculture; which the Governor has already revolutionalised, planted four million tenera palm seedlings, established poultry clusters, mushroom farm and has plans to achieve agricultural value chains among others. They raised the issue of SME’s without remembering that achievements of Dr. Ikpeazu has made Abia to be recognized by the Federal Government as the SME Capital of Nigeria. They consciously made themselves blind as though they could not see the towering progress of Made in Aba products championed by Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D.

One then wonders what else they want to offer to Abians that Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu is not offering. Each of them that talked about industrialization claimed to be ignorant of the Enyimba Economic City, the first ever Free Will Export zone to be situated in the entire South East. The administration of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu is attracting that industrial zone that would create more than 700 thousand jobs for Abia people, especially the youths.

Let them just mention it, whether education, health, environment, security, ease of doing business, trade and commerce, skill acquisitions and the rest of them, OVI has presentable his score card on each of them and has more beautiful plans in the next four years. Abians are ready to throw their weight behind their action packed scholar in governance, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu Ph.D!

If elections are won by debate, OVI would have taken another oath of office at the hall of the debate. However, Abians know that by following Ikpeazu’s popularity and track records, his re election is a sure bet as the 2019 election would be a mere formalities. This confidence is anchored on the fact that the majority of Abia people and residents are solidly behind Dr. Ikpeazu and would vote him and all PDP candidates in the forthcoming elections.

Oppositions should be mindful of how not to play politics to avoid attracting the wrath of God against themselves.
