The Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has encouraged the people of Isialangwa South to forgive those who rise against their wish in politics.
The Governor gave the encouragement while responding to the people of Isialangwa South, who came to Government House on a solidarity visit for the Speaker of the Abia House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chikwendu Kalu. Dr. Ikpeazu said politics is not played in internet or in the conventional media.
In his speech the leader of the delegation and Executive Chairman, Isialangwa South, Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku stated that they came to reaffirm their support to their brother and son, Rt. Hon. Chikwendu Kalu.
He said that the publications by some people, allegedly seeking the recall of the Speaker was uncalled for, stressing that they are solidly behind the Speaker.
Speaking also, a Chief John Erondu and Mr. Chijioke Akanwa who presented a communique on behalf of the people said the purported writers of the alleged recall process were faceless and disgruntled elements. They disassociated themselves from the publications and pledged the unalloyed support to the Governor and the Speaker respectively.
They urged all Abians especially, the State House of Assembly to disregard the publications.
