It would have amounted to dissipating ones energies in immaterial issues rather than concentrating on weightier matters, but for the caliber of personality involved, I did this rejoinder.
Senator Nkechi J. Nwaogu, is a notable party turncoat and renowned for non-performance in the offices she held.
Firstly, elected to the House of Representatives, on the platform of the All Peoples Party after a term, she jumped fence to the People’s Democratic Party on whose platform she was returned, surprisingly, she made no valuable impacts as no federal presence was felt or attracted in the constituency she held sway. Her sojourn in the Federal House can be termed a bench-warming era.
When Senator Nkechi Nwaogu, got elected to the senate, people thought she will clear the mess she left in the Federal House, but alas the trend continued as the much anticipated constituency projects remained a mirage. Even the road leading to her palatial and magnificent mansion that was in a sordid state of disrepair never caught her fancy until Governor Okezie Ikpeazu came to the rescue.
This piece is not meant to pry into her inglorious period of representation, but rather to question her purported angelic stance and qualifier to criticize and berate the present P.D.P government in Abia state that can enhance the electoral fortunes of her new fond APC in the state.
Even if peradventure her claim that PDP was dead was true, after all, it is unarguable that her likes should be held culpable for her abysmal outing when she was in the party. But nature has a special and inexplicable manner of separating the tares from the maize, that is why she could not abide within the PDP fold with her co-travelers being odd numbers.
She should restitute her visible shortcomings and her denial to offer purposeful and result-oriented representation to her constituents during her time, rather than pointing accusing finger on a government that is cleaning the rots she left behind, more so, when the rest four is pointing at her.
