Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu says he directed the release of 5 months subvention en bloc on Thursday to the Abia State College of Health Science and Management Technology, Aba, to help them in the payment of backlog of salaries.
The release, according to the to the Governor, in a tweet, was in keeping with his earlier promise to address the demands of health workers as well as those of other ailing parastatals, to help them clear their backlog of salaries.
Ikpeazu who expressed the hope that the management of the institution would judiciously make use of the fund for the purpose of salary payment warned that there would be consequences for any misapplication of the funds.
He gave the assurance that his administration will continue to provide the needed support to ailing parastatals.
