Abia state government has regrettably observed with concern the recent illegal hike in the pump price of PMS which now sells at #150.00 and above per litre in addition to the gradual return of long queues to most filling stations in the state, which has subjected Abians to untold hardship.
This is reprehensible and unacceptable to government as government will not condone or tolerate any act of artificial scarcity aimed at exploitation and/or impoverishment of Abia residents.
Government therefore warns Petroleum Marketers, not to take advantage of the situation to hoard PMS or sell above government approved pump price of #145.00 per litre as any marker involved in such unwholesome act will face the full weight of the law.
Government also urges Abians to remain calm as it is doing it’s best to address the situation.
