Residents of Immaculate Avenue in Umungasi Aba are excited at the quality and pace of work going on on the road.
Speaking to Abia Online team on an on the spot Assessment of the project, the residents said they had no mixed feelings in expressing their excitement that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is working to put smiles on their faces after many years of neglect.
One of the residents, Mr. Gabriel Kalu, who described the state of the road then as impassable, recounted that it was hectic for the residents as they were unable to trace their back then.
He added that “we are very happy that now, as you can see from what is going on here, everyone is happy that in no distant time this place will become beautiful sight.”
Others who spoke to Abia Online including, Mr. Emmanuel Sunday, a dealer in building materials and Miss Silver Johnson, a hairdresser, recalled how difficult it was for them sustaining their businesses in the area as people could not access the road easily to patronize them.
