Swearing-in of Permanent Secretaries & ASOPADEC Inauguration
Two new Permanent Secretaries and ASOPADEC Commissioners have been sworn-in by the Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu.
Charging the offcers at Executive Chambers, Government House, Umuahia, the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu said ASOPADEC was established to handle the development of the oil producing communities.
He called on them to extend the development to non oil producing communities in the State.
According to the Governor, the members and the Permanent secretaries are not expected to play politics with the job but show commitment to development of the State.
In their vote of thanks on behalf of others, Mrs. Nkechi Nwokoro and Chief Sam Nwogu
thanked Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for appointing them and pledged to discharge their duties effectively.
The new Permanent Secretaries are Nkechi Nwokoro and Patrick Irokansi while the ASOPADEC Commissioners include; Henry Chilaka, Adiele Ekeke, Kelechi Dede, Orji Udeagha, Kate Maduako, Ikpegbu Emeka Yellow Christian and Uzoma Igbuka with Chief Sam Wogu as Board Chairman and Alozie Odoemelam serves as Board’s Secretary. Others who are to serve as ministerial members are Atuonwu Chigoziem, Udochukwu Ukachukwu and Uwaga Hope.
