Governor Okezie Ikpeazu wishes to express his appreciation and that of the good people of Abia State to His Excellency, Acting President Yemi Osibanjo, for making out time to visit Aba, the SME capital of Nigeria, to launch the Micro Small and Medium Scale Enterprise Clinic, (MSME) Clinic.
The Governor notes with appreciation that it was the Acting President that selected Aba as the venue for the maiden edition, in recognition of the historical status of the commercial city as the SME capital of Nigeria. He wishes to assure the Acting President and his team that the entrepreneurs of Aba will not let him and the Government down.
Governor Ikpeazu also wish to use this opportunity to thank one of Abia’s best, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah, the Minister for Industries, Trade and Investment and the entire Aba business community for the success recorded with the MSME clinic.
The Governor is appealing to Aba business community and artisans to ensure that going forward, all products and innovations coming out of Aba are properly labeled as “made in Aba”, to distinguish them from others as well as ensure that all brands with that label are of the highest possible quality.
The Government of Dr Ikpeazu will continue to prioritize procurement of made in Aba materials over foreign alternatives to encourage local producers and give them ready made channels for sale of their products.
