THE DEFEATED LAGOS-BASED ABIA FORMER GUBER CANDIDATES BLAME INEC, SECURITY AGENTS FOR THEIR DEFEAT.

Following the resounding victory of the divinely ordained Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu in the Saturday, March 9th elections, defeated candidates including APC and APGA have not ceased to blame INEC and security agencies for their defeat.

The defeated Lagos based Abia politicians, Uche Ogah and Alex Otti have been ‘crying wolf’ having seen that their hope was dashed by the overwhelming victory of Governor Ikpeazu.

Consequent upon the abortion of their malicious ambition, the duo of Uche Ogah and Alex Otti held a joint press briefing in which they called for the cancellation of the results of Abia State Governorship Elections, which they are blatantly ignorant about. For the avoidance of doubt, any aggrieved candidate in this type of process is expected to take his grievances to the court of law, which of course is not an option for Abians at a moment like this.

It is very much uncalled for, for these failed politicians to begin to blame INEC and the security agencies for their own failures. One wonders why they are bent on accusing the INEC and security agencies for conniving with the PDP to manipulate results in Abia State. It is not only unthinkable but absolutely ridiculous that Uche Ogah, whose party holds sway at the Federal Government and controls the entire security architecture in Nigeria could accuse Abia State of using the security agencies against them.

Why should they continue to accuse PDP? Is it PDP that caused their inability to merge and work together against the Governor. Of course, even if they had merged, they would not have done anything.

By the grace of God, Abia electorates gave Dr. Ikpeazu an intimidating 261,127, a number that when one combines; that of Uche Ogah and Alex Otti cannot make up to half the Governor’s number of votes.

Having failed in their ambition to overthrow Governor Ikpeazu even right from the litigations against his emergence in 2015, this victory is a pointer to the fact that no matter their individual or even joint plots against the Governor of Abia State, he has achieved much for the people of the State, and even set the pace for bigger developmental strides. They can continue to weep as the people of Abia have elected their project oriented Governor in the person of Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu (OVI).

Since they have failed, Uche Ogah is free to go and see whether he could resuscitate his ailing businesses, while Alex Otti, whose Diamond Bank has collapsed may check whether any of the micro finance banks in Arochukwu LGA could find him a job. It is not God’s will that any of them would govern Abia, not even in the future.

These two Lagos based bad losers can continue to cry as babies as Governor Ikpeazu and his team continue their work to take Abia to higher heights.
