THE PLOT BY ABIA APC TO BLACKMAIL N-POWER BENEFICIARIES

On Thursday the APC Gubernatorial Campaign office in Abia circulated a text message inviting all N Power beneficiaries to a meeting under the guise that the Special Assistant to the President invited them for a head count at No 1 item street umuahia which happens to be the campaign headquarters of the APC governorship candidate. On getting wind of the information, the state focal person contacted the Special Adviser to the President on social investment to confirm the authenticity of the invitation. When she confirmed that the information was false, the state N Power Office sent out messages to beneficiaries to ignore the invitation.
Angered by the effort of the office to frustrated their plans, they began a serious manhunt of N Power coordinators in Abia State. They lured the state ambassador Felix Obisike Kennedy through a fake call and abducted him along Aba road, and was taken to the APC gubernatorial campaign office where he was beaten to pulp. On getting wind of the abduction the DSS office in Abia was contacted, they stormed the place to rescue those being detained. Information reaching us now is that while being illegally detained he was forced to accept possession of certain documents including fake election results.
From the foregoing it’s obvious that the APC in Abia state had intentions to blackmail the N power programme in the state because they couldn’t manipulate the programme and beneficiaries to their own advantage. The Abia APC invited N power beneficiaries to a meeting claiming that it was the presidency that scheduled the meeting, that in itself is impersonation which the presidency must as a matter of fact clear its name. How can Abia APC invite npower beneficiaries to their campaign office? It is obvious that the boy in question who anchored the refutal messages, became a thorn on the flesh of these desperate politicians who obviously have realized that they are faced with overwhelming defeat in the forthcoming elections, hence resorted to self help.
I call on security agencies in the state to rise to this blackmail and intimidation from Abia APC.
The npower programme remains apolitical as beneficiaries have been advised to register and vote for any candidate of their choice.
