Umuahia the State capital today was shut down in support of the election of Alhaji (Dr.) Atiku Abubakar as his presidential train arrived Abia State.
Addressing the mammoth crowd of supporters at Umuahia Township Stadium, the PDP Presidential hopeful, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar said that the APC led government has destroyed the economy of Nigeria and deserves to be removed.
He said that President Buhari should get ready to pack out from Aso Rock, as PDP would win convincingly at the forthcoming polls.
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who told the people to vote for PDP urged the party faithful to ensure they protect their votes in all the elections. According to him, Buhari Must go!
Abia Governor in his remarks said that Abia State will not leave Atiku, but would ensure he is elected, describing him as a well known business man and technocrat, who is capable of leading Nigera to the promise land.
In his speech, Prince Uche Secondus, the National Chairman of the PDP warned the APC not to rig the forthcoming elections. He told them to allow the people’s vote to count and return 100% votes to the PDP.
speaking earlier, the State PDP Chairman, Chief Johnson Onuigbo assured the Presidential candidate that Abia State is for PDP and would vote “en masse” for the party from 16th of this month.
The presidential rally which attracted who is who in PDP saw the presidential candidate conferred with a chieftaincy title of Aha Eji Aga Mba of Ndi Abia by the Abia Council of Ndi Eze as he earlier paid homage to the Council.
