Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu says Women and youth development remains a top priority for his administration.
Governor Ikpeazu, who stated this in his official Twitter handle informed that he approved appointment of 15 women as LG Secretaries out of the 17 Local Government Areas LGAs.
According to the Governor, the State at Party level in Abia, equally ceded a good number of executive/councilorship positions to women and youths at the primary for the December LG polls.
He wrote: “I’ve approved appointment of 15 women as LG Secretaries of 15 out of our 17 LGAs. At Party level in Abia, we ceded a good number of executive/councilorship positions to women& youths at the primary for the December LG polls. Women & youth development remains a top priority for me.”
