Obingwa, the home Local Government Area of Governor Ikpeazu was agog as the Governor made triumphant entry in a grand style with the people drumming support for their son as the campaign of the LGAs comes to a conclusive end.
In his speech at Osusu Amaukwa Field, the highly elated Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu thanked his people for celebrating him in a grand style. He expressed hope that Obingwa people would add more thousands to the 83 thousand votes they cast for PDP in 2015.
Dr. Ikpeazu, who said that no opposition party exists in Obingwa, urged his people to ensure that they vote overwhelmingly for PDP at all the levels of the elections.
In their speeches, the candidates including Chief Enyinnaya Harcourt Abaribe, Chief Solomon Adaelu, Chief Solomon Akpulonu, Chief A. C Thomas Nkoro called on their people to ensure they vote PDP in the elections.
The PDP Chairman, Chief Johnson Onuigbo and the Director General State Central Campaign Council, Elder John Nwangborogwu among others said their son has not come to campaign but to be celebrated by his people as they prepare to vote him and other PDP candidates in the forthcoming elections.
On behalf of the stakeholders, Chief Acho Nwakanma said that the people have proven that they love the Governor by their turn out to the rally and called on them to sustain the support and vote the umbrella party.
By the Obingwa rally, the PDP Campaign in the 17 Local Government Areas of Abia State has been brought to an end.
