Two persons were reportedly shot dead at Ogu-Bolo in Ogu-Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The victims are said to be a former Chairman of Ogu-Bolo Local Government Area and his brother.
Eye witness account had it that the victims were hit by a stray bullet from yet to be identified gunmen as they queued up to cast their vote.
Rivers State Police Command Public Relation Officer, Nnamdi Omoni confirmed the story .
He said that the DPO of the area had informed him of the incident.
In another development, there was a reported gunfire and sporadic shooting at ward 12, unit 4 Ubima, the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi’s home town.
Eye witness said the shooting occurred as soon as the Minister left the area after casting his vote.
