Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Wednesday, handed over of the brand new Community Hall together with market stalls to his Umuobiakwa people in Obingwa LGA.
Governor Ikpeazu said that was his own little contribution to the economic growth of his people.
Accompanied by his wife, Nkechi and younger brother, Iheanyi, the Governor thanked the people for their support and assured them that he will continue to do his best for them.
A release by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Onyebuchi Ememanka said the Governor also used the opportunity to hand over several items of empowerment to different segments of the Community and urged them to make good use of them to improve their lives.
Ikpeazu, while challenging the youths of the community to embrace education as a veritable means of getting prepared for the challenges of the future, assured that he will continue to provide support to those who are studying.
He enjoined the people to ensure that the facilities are kept clean and in good condition at all times.

The Governor alsovvisited the nearby Itungwa Community where he met with the Traditional Ruler of Itu Ahia for Community, His Highness, Eze Appolos Orji and members of his cabinet and to formally inform them that the new Community Market he built for them should be made open for use by the people.
The Governor also gave some cash gifts to the women there to encourage them to start trading at the market.
The Transition Committee Chairman of Obingwa LGA, Hon Nnaji Kimbo, Acting Transition Chairman of Aba North LGA, Mrs Joy Iwuchukwu, Traditional Rulers, Elders and other leaders of the Community a delegation of Umuobiakwa Community in Umuahia North LGA were part of the event.
Abia online reports that the Governor, who cut the tape marking the official opening of the Market and Community Hall, later joined his kinsmen in the Community meeting.
