The Honourable Justice Stellamaris Chinedum Ururuka Onyenso has been sworn-in bas the new Acting President of Abia State Customary Court of Appeal alongside Lady Uzoamaka Patience Onuigbo as a new Permanent Secretary in the Abia State Civil Service.
Speaking at the event held at the Banquet Hall, Government House Umuahia, Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu congratulated the new appointees on the milestone they have attained in their respective careers.
The Governor noted that climbing to the apex of one’s career was not an easy task but one that takes patience, diligence and commitment.
He reminded the new Acting President of the lofty expectation of her new position but expressed confidence that she will acquit herself creditably.
He told her to embrace reforms and ensure she leaves her office better than she met it assured her of his government’s for a smooth and successful reign.
Dr. Ikpeazu used the forum to congratulate the immediate past President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Anyalewechi Onwuchekwa (Rtd) for his many years of service to the State Judiciary, noting that he would be remembered for being firm, courageous and steadfast in the course of his service as President of the Customary Court of Appeal.
The Governor equally enjoined the new Permanent Secretary to make her contributions and offer her service to the development of the State as well as to superintendent with the fear of God.
In her acceptance speech, the Acting President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Honourable Justice Stellamaris Chinedum Ururuka Onyenso thanked the Governor for the honour done her and promised to do her work in an upright manner.
Also speaking, the new Permanent Secretary, Lady Uzoamaka Patience Onuigbo expressed gratitude to the Governor for the opportunity given her to serve and pledged to support his administration and contribute her quota to the development of the State.
ABIA ONLINE reports that the oaths were administered by the Director, Civil Litigation of the State Ministry of Justice, Mr Ogubunka who stood in for the State Solicitor General, Lady Uzoamaka Uche Ikonne.
