STRENGTHEN YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD – Abia Transport Commissioner Tells Staff
The honourable commissioner for transport Hon. Chief Barr. Mrs Nnenna Obewu has charged the staff of the ministry to strengthen their relationship with God.
The honourable commissioner said this today during the year’s official opening of the ministry which also featured prayer and fasting for the year 2017.
The Commissioner said that the only way they can succeed and survive in this 2017 is to embrace God, accept him as their lord and personal saviour.
Barr. Obewu while charging them to be committed to duty also told them that the ministry and Abia state civil service will in no way have room for ghost workers and those with fake certificates .
She told them that the government of Dr Okezie Ikpeazu is committed to the welfare of Abia workers and assured them both at local government and state ministries that soon, they will get their salaries as at when due.
“The ministry under my watch will not tolerate any form of misconduct be it lateness or whatever this year, get rid of anything that is against the ethics of the state’s civil service guidelines”
Mrs Obewu while thanking the ministry for their support in moving the ministry forward also charged them to keep praying for the men of God for God to bless them in their various endeavors.
She said on behalf of the Permanent Secretary and all the directors of the ministry that every first Monday of every month shall be a prayer gathering in the ministry and promise that next month’s gathering will be better.
Earlier, the ministry heard words of God from a man of God, who charged them to see 2017 as a year of repentance and also testimonies. There was songs of praises , deliverance , testimonies .
Also Samuel Ajuzie from Olokoro told the ministry that the most supernatural authority is the one from heaven, he charged the ministry to accept Jesus Christ as their lord and personal saviour.
He assured them that only God that will give them success. Asked them to pray and work towards getting a fare judgement from God.
He thanked and prayed to God to bless the ministry for today’s and the year’s praying and fasting.
In his vote of thanks, the permanent secretary of the ministry thanked the honourable commissioner for initiating the Godly event, he also thanked the men of God for making out time to be with the ministry and assured them that the staff of the ministry will always put God first, he also thanked the consultants, management and staff of the ministry.
He assured the ministry that their salaries will always be coming…stating that its not the problem of the governor but that of the economic recession.
The honourable commissioner, permanent Secretary, directors of the ministry of transport were in attendance during the gathering.
