The tag” Abia facts “on a tabloid and media site renowned for dishing out lies, propaganda, innuendos is not only a clear opposite of what it represents, but a blasphemous stance, an aberration. These propagandists, have always been making inflammatory news and posts on the social media platform which is now a joke taken too far. It is now distasteful and the height of rascality, for Abia Facts to erroneously post without any iota of truth that the revered Accountant General of Abia state, Sir, Gabriel Onyendilefu was arrested within Umuahia metropolis by operatives of the EFCC for questioning, for financial improprieties, when the Accountant General (A.G) has been in Abuja for Federal Accounts Allocations Committee, (FAAC), and Joint Accounts Allocation Committee (JAAC) meetings.
This is really derogatory and defamatory on the person of the A.G and Abia state government. Most painfully, the picture of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu was pasted, buttressing that it a calculated attempt to taint and drag the image of the state Governor to the mud. It is rightful to ask, why must they join Governor Ikpeazu with every negative news always?
The answer is not farfetched, they and their paymasters are belittled and overwhelmed by Governor, lkpeazu’s outstanding and sterling performance since assumption of office.
That we are in a democratic setting does not arrogate anyone or group of persons the powers to publish discrediting news to the public as this will not be taken lime low. More so, as character defamation is a legal offence, it should be reiterated that this government is determined to good and transparent governance, for the general good of Abians.
There is nothing to be jittery about. Our doors are open for any scrutiny as there is no skeleton in our cupboard. For the umpteenth time, Abia (facts?) should engage themselves in profitable ventures and desist from defaming tested and trusted public officials.
