ABIA GOVERNOR REWARDS WINNER OF MSME COMPETITION[PHOTOS]

Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has given a cash reward of one million Naira to the winner of the 2nd National competition of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) competition, Miss NorahOnwuasoanya and assured to support the girl in her business endeavours.

The Governor who received the winner of the prize at Government House, Umuahia said that his efforts on the Small and Medium Enterprises in Abia State and Nigeria at large is targeted at enhancing the creative spirit of the average Nigerian. He enjoined the girl not to toy with God and formal education as they would help her excel in life.

Governor Ikpeazu, who congratulated the girl stressed the need to encourage Abia youths in their various efforts in growing the economy of Nigeria and expressed joy for Miss Onwuasoanya’s hard work and dedication.

In her reaction, the winner of the MSME award, Miss Nora Onwuasoanya said her story would not be complete without making mention of the role of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in it. He thanked the Governor for everything including making the ‘Made in Aba’ products a brand to be reckoned with and taking to China where she underwent skill development training in automated shoemaking.

She informed that she was the only person from the entire South East that participated in the competition.
