Abia State has succeeded in reversing the negative trends of stamping made in Aba goods with foreign labels.
The Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu stated this while addressing the a delegation of the Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority who called on him.

He assured that the State government was committed to giving Nigerians the best quality of locally made products, adding that in its bid to grow the economy, the State has created a platform to enable other people come in and do business, the conceptualization of Enyimba Industrial City which is driven by Mr. Darl Uzu.
Speaking earlier the the General Manager, Finance, of Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority, Mr. Bitrus Dawuk appreciated Governor Ikpeazu’s efforts in championing and promoting made in Aba products.
Mr. Dawuki said his team would do everything possible to assist in the actualization of the project in Aba State.
Making a speech, the leader of the Enyimba Industrial City Development Company Limited, Mr. Darl Uzu informed that the team has gone round the project sites and was satisfied with what it saw and has expressed willingness to collaborate with the State in that regard.
