CHARACTERISTICS OF WHEAT AND TARES
When I read the balderdash written by the likes of Greatimo and Kezie who are still apparently campaigning even after their bosses, Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah and Alex C. Otti relatively suffered a landslide defeat at the polls, I turn around raising my gaze with reverence to Abians who Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s infectious personality and “lateral thinking” leadership style has rallied and inspired to put up volumes upon volumes stipulating and kaleidoscoping the ingenuity as being portrayed by his leadership prowess.
On my count, it’s about five different books on Governor Ikpeazu’s leadership acumen since the inception of his administration by different individuals (Abians). Interestingly, this people are not aides of the Governor, neither are they in government payroll. They’re just ordinary Abians who have seen, examined, compared-and-contrasted with other crop of leaders across the nation and of course with preceding administrations of our dear Abia state and came to the conclusion that Governor Ikpeazu is “un homme à battre”.
Indeed, he is “the man to beat”.
This obvious scenario separates the “wheat”: those who are in support of good governance and the rising fortune of the State under Ikpeazu’s watch from the “tares”: the pull-him-down agents whose everyday prayer is to see that nothing good is happening in Abia.
Abia is developmentally bound, want it or not, hate it or like it, wish it or not, it has come to stay.
