Abia State Deputy Governor Sir Ude Oko Chukwu has described the late State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Sir Johnson Onuigbo as a loving, kind-hearted and good man who lived a wonderful Christian life.
Sir Oko Chukwu, who speaking at a night of tribute for the deceased, noted that the greatest challenge for family members is to sustain his good legacies.
While urging the audience to learn to live a good life, the Deputy Governor called on the the wife, children and everyone affected by the death to take solace Sir. Onuigbo died a fulfilled man.
For Secretary to Abia State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem, Sir Onuigbo was a man who always wore smiles on his face and pursued peace wherever he went, regretting that the PDP and the State have lost a gift and asset.
Abia State PDP Chairman, Rt. Hon. Allwell Asiforo Okere, described him as a great leader, national delegate, builder and teacher and expressed sadness and joy for the lost of Sir Onuigbo.
The first son of the Onuigbo family, Engr. Tochukwu Onuigbo described their father as a patient, loving, kind and God fearing man.
According to him, testimonies of people who came in contact with him, attested to the fact that he was indeed a good man.
Others who paid their tribute for the night including, Barr. Okey Amaechi, Mr. Nkwachukwu Agomoh, Justice Stella Nwakanma (Rtd), Chief Godwin Amaechi, Mr Steve Nwoko among many others observed that he was embodiment of patience, kindness as well as a perfect gentleman who lived his entire life for others selflessly.

described him as a refined man and a lover of God and a born leader who exhibited his sterling leadership qualities from childhood.
They regretted that the Ibeku people had lost one of their finest bred and hoped that his good legacies would stand the test of time.
In a short homily, the Archbishop of Umuahia, Methodist Church of Nigeria, Most Revd Dr. Chibuzo Raphael Okpoko enjoined all to begin to think God in all they do as there is time for everything on earth.
Okpoko noted that late Sir. Onuigbo was relentless in his service to God and humanity and called on people to emulate such a life style.
Venable Sam Onuoha, on his part observed that life is short and the people should live in the consciousness of that fact. He urged family members and all not to mourn because the man lived a good life and made preparations for his death.
On her part, the first Daughter, Barr. Akuoma Onuigbo-Agomuo, while describing her father as her confidant, said she would be consoled by the fact that he died a great and true soldier of Christ.
Barr. Onuigbo-Agomuo said the deceased stood firm for God even in the face of betrayal and expressed the hope that he will attain heaven he worked for. She expressed appreciate for people who gathered for the night of tribute as well as for saying something good about her late father.
ABIA ONLINE reports that highlight of the event, which was attended by some top Government functionaries, the clergy, his political associates, businessmen, was prayer for the repose of the deceased and comfort for those he left behind.
Sir. Johnson Okebaram Onuigbo, who died on the 27th day of August, 2020, would be laid to rest on Friday 24rd October, 2020.
