The traditional head of Ngwa Land, His Eminence, Eze Dr. Benard Onyenguzo Enweremmadu, Ezeukwu of Ngwaukwu, has been announced dead.
According to a press release by his family at his residence on Saturday, by the crown prince, Rt. Hon. Prince C.O. Enweremmadu, revealed that Eze Enweremmadu died on January 17, 2021. He was aged 77.
Late Eze Enweremmadu was a former chairman of Abia State Council of Traditional rulers.
According to Prince C.O. Enweremmadu, the late Eze made some remarkable statements few months before his demise.
His words: On 23rd of October 2020, Ezeukwu made some remarkable statements and if we had foresight, we would have seen this coming. He said, “this is a remarkable year,” At the age of 33, he became the Ezeukwu of Ngwaukwu, on that same day, he marked 77 years on earth. A few days before then, he also marked his forty-fourth year on the throne of Ngwaukwu. I think that the man has ran his race, and he ran a very good race.
“He ran a race worthy of emulation and as his children, we are determined to keep that touch flowing.” Prince C.O Enweremmadu added.
