EZIUKWU ROAD: THE PATHETIC STORY AND THE TRANSFORMATION AGENDA

14

The story of Eziukwu Road, Aba is not a secret one. Bounding with Milverton Avenue Road (also under construction) eastward, the host of major transportation companies in Nigeria, every traveler from Aba to any part of the country passed through it.

With the presence of leading banks like Zenith, Acces, Polaris, and Sterling Banks, Eziukwu Road is yet another business hub in Aba. Sometimes many years ago the road got so bad that I wondered why these banks couldn’t contribute and fix the one road very instrumental to the success of their business. Must everything be left for government? I thought.

Well, the good news is what you’re seeing in the pictures here attached. Eziukwu Road is bouncing back and better.

As we interviewed some of those doing business in the area, the excitement radiating on their faces said more. The excitement of a ‘Transformative Governance’ under Governor Okezie Ikpeazu – the thought that expected change is here and it’s advancing rapidly by day.

Our short story will intrigue you. Keep watching this space. You’ll see it here first.
