The wife of the State Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu has directed that the free breast examination organized by Vicar Hope Foundation be extended till end of this year to give more women the opportunity to have their breast examined.
A statement to that effect explained that the aim of the exercise is to ensure that women who may have traces of cancer related issues, start their treatment in time to enable them curb the of spread of the ailment.
The statement added that it would also enable women understand the preventive measures as experts are on ground to enlighten them on the possible ways of preventing breast cancer.
