Traders operating along the streets and major highways in Aba and Umuahia have been reminded to relocate into the approved markets on or before Friday November 15, 2019 as government is poised to bring to an end the menace of street trading in the State.
A release signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Cosmos Ndukwe, warned that his Ministry would collaborate with other relevant Ministries and Security Agencies to recover spaces illegally converted to trading places within Enyimba area of Ariaria International Market Aba, Okpara Square and Cooperative area of Umuahia, Ngwa Road area of Aba as well as Akanu Ibiam and Bank Road area of Umuahia.
The statement further directed those concerned to take the order very seriously and comply without further delay.
