I WILL REMAIN FAIR IN MY DEALINGS WITH EVERY AREA OF ABIA STATE – Gov Ikpeazu Tells Isuikwuato Leaders

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has promised to treat every region of Abia state with fairness and justice for as long as he is in office.

The Governor gave the guarantee yesterday while receiving a team of Isuikwuato local government area leaders who visited him at his Country House in Umuobiakwa, Obingwa LGA.

According to Gov Ikpeazu, Isuikwuato LGA is a significant part of the state and will receive its fair share of benefits from his administration.

The team described their visit as a peaceful one and to show solidarity with the Gov Ikpeazu –led administration.

Governor Ikpeazu responded to their plea that Isuikwuato produces the future Governor of the State based on the Abia Charter of Equity, saying that he is guided by the Charter’s provisions.

As a result, he urged the delegation to align themselves appropriately and be strategic in their political choices to fully benefit from Isuikwuato District’s inclusion in the Equity Charter.

The governor pledged to look into their request for several road improvements, particularly the completion of the Ukwunwangwu Isunabo Road, which is now under construction.

Senator Emma Nwaka, a former Commissioner in the State, Hon Obinna Ekekwe, the President of the Isuikwuato Development Union, Chief Osondu Onyedimara, and one of Abia State’s founding fathers, Dr OJ Onyike, all thanked the Governor for maintaining peace and security in the State.

They urged him to consider extending the Nunya Route to Amaokwe Amiyi which is an important road in Ogboro.

The delegation also requested that Governor Ikpeazu complete the Ogboro-Acha road and connect it to Uturu so that it can serve as a significant link to Ebonyi State and a major avenue for agricultural products to be transported from Acha.

The Honourable Commissioner in Charge of Parastatals, Barrister Monday Ejiegbu, and a seasoned Broadcaster, Mr Frank Fyne, were among the renowned Isuikwuato indigenes who attended the meeting.
