The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has congratulated a former Executive Chairman of Obingwa Local Government Area, Chief The Honorable Isaac Ogbonna, JP (AKURULO) on the occasion of his 73rd birthday, which took place a few days ago.
Governor Ikpeazu, who is a former Chairman of Obingwa Local Government Area, notes with deep nostalgia, the great developmental strides recorded under the administration of Chief Ogbonna when he served as the first elected Chairman of Obingwa Local Government between 1999 to 2001, and notes further that the records set by Akurulo then set a standard in the provision of key infrastructure and the development of human capacity.
Governor Ikpeazu is grateful to God for keeping Chief Ogbonna alive and strong as he continues to render more services to the people of Abia State, noting also that he has become a compendium of administrative and political experience from where current political leaders can draw inspiration and knowledge.
The Governor, on behalf of his family, the government and people of Abia State wishes Chief Ogbonna a very happy birthday while praying the good Lord to grant him many more years.
