The Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has told contractors handling various road projects in the State that they have no reason to delay any project as he ordered them to return to site.
In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Barr. Onyebuchi Ememanka, the Governor noted that with the rains subsiding and dry season setting in as well as with the release of funds for the projects, they should ensure the speedy completion of those projects.
The release identified the road projects under this category to include the Osisioma Flyover Project, Ururuka Road, Osusu Road Aba, Aba Road Umuahia, Afor Ibeji Road Umuahia, the Osisioma – Ekeakpara road, Aba Owerri Road, etc.
The statement further stated that the Governor has equally directed the Commissioner for Works to ensure that the OPERATION ZERO POTHOLE in Aba and Umuahia resumes fully.
