It was an ambience of thanksgiving and gratitude to God at the Kingdom Watchers Outreach International, Owerri, Friday night, when the family of the Chief Security Officer CSO to the Governor of Abia State, Chief Sir. Emeka Ubani organized a thanksgiving service to thank God for his mercies upon their lives and for saving the life Governor Okezie Ikpeazu from the dreaded Coronavirus.
Giving his testimony, the Chief Security Officer CSO to the Abia State Governor, Chief Sir. Emeka Ubani, revealed that the life of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu was saved only by the mercies of God whom he said never gave up on the Governor when everyone else gave up hope.
Ubani, who narrated his story behind life’s journey from childhood till now, stressed that: “If I look at the journey of my life, where I’m coming from and where I am now, I can only thank God.”
Sir. Ubani while noting that he grew up being careful with issues of life based on the circumstances surrounding his growing up, disclosed that he rarely visited people’s homes for fear of incurring debt because he wouldn’t be able to pay should he damage anything in the house.
According to him, he lost his father at a time he needed him most leaving him with only his poor mother, whose teaching job could not feed the family, that pushed him into the street where he did all kinds of menial jobs to enable him eat and survive.
“When we were in school, we woke up everyday not knowing what to do for the day, how to eat and where to see what to do to earn little money for food,” he recounted adding that, in the midst of all those, he had a mindset that he would one day become a great man.
The CSO while boasting that he and his household are products of God’s mercy, challenged the congregants that if God that could do it for him, He can do it more for them.
He charged the congregation to learn from his poor background and have implicit believe in God and as such believe that no man has their destiny in his hands.
Sir. Ubani used the opportunity to thank the immediate past Vice Chancellor of Abia State University, Uturu, Prof. Uche Ikonne for his contributions into his life as well as one Engr. Emma Nwazuru, whom he recalled provided money to offset the accumulated arrears of school and got the clearance that enabled him go for the compulsory National Youth Service Corps.
On her part, wife of the CSO, Lady Evangelist Eunice Ubani could not hide her joy for the opportunity to answer the call to be a minister of the gospel. She said she never believed she could do it which was the reason for her initial refusal but expressed gratitude to God she was celebrating two full years of working with God at Kingdom Watchers Outreach International.
In a sermon, the minister described paise as a complement to God for what he has done, explaining that when we praise God something happens; he (God) comes down to inhabit the praise of his people..
He said that we draw God’s attention through thanksgiving and maintained that God is more interested in how we thank him other than how we have monetized the thanksgiving and enjoined all not to take God’s blessings for granted.
ABIA ONLINE reports that highlights of the thanksgiving service, which was used to mark the second year anniversary of Kingdom Watchers Outreach International Owerri, was prayer for the Ubani family and cutting of anniversary cake.
