Abians especially motorists and traders have been called upon to exercise patience and cooperate with the contractors handling on-going road projects in many parts of the state, particularly in Aba and Umuahia.
The Commissioner for Information, Culture and Strategy, Comrade Bonnie Iwuoha who made the call in a statement said such cooperative spirit would help facilitate the early completion of the jobs and give Aba in particular and Abia State in general a facelift.
The Commissioner also advised landlords and owners of broken down vehicles to remove all illegal structures and vehicles obstructing the reconstruction effort without further delay pointing out that while the reconstruction efforts might bright about some inconveniences for motorist and commuters the developmental efforts of government is geared towards ensuring better tomorrow for all and sundry.
Comrade Iwuoha reassured the business community in the state of government determination to provide conducive business environment for them assuring that government is committed to early completion of all road projects including the Aba-Owerri road, Brass/Faulks roads leading to Ariaria and commended the State Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for his doggedness in infrastructural development despite the dwindling financial resources of the state.
