A Lagos based inspirational speaker, Mr Bankole Williams, is in Abia State to Host a motivational event for young people tagged
“Live your Dreams Abia”.
According to him, “we have been hosting “Live your Dreams” events in Lagos but decided to come to Abia because of the abundance of young talents who we hope to motivate and support to become the next generation of great entrepreneurs from this state”.
Mr Williams who was led to the office of the Commissioner by the Special Adviser to Governor Ikpeazu on Teenage Matters, Mrs Chinemenma Umeseaka, thanked the state Government for providing the enabling environment for entrepreneurship to thrive.
Responding, Chief Okiyi thanked Mr Williams and his team, including Abia born Nollywood superstar, OC Ukeje and Juliana Olayode, among others, for choosing Abia State to host the Live Your Dream Event.
According to Mr Okiyi, “the thrust of your program aligns with the entrepreneurship promotion agenda of the Ikpeazu administration and Abia State Government is happy to associate with programs that enhance the skills of our young people. That is why Governor Ikpeazu recently sent 30 young Abians to learn automated shoe making in China to improve their skills and empower them to be better entrepreneurs who will ultimately create jobs and contribute to the economic growth of the state.
“Abia State has moved away from the era of empowerment through provision of wheel barrows to young people to the new paradigm of equipping them with skills needed to become fishers as against fish eaters. Our second to non Education for employment program targets relevant skills acquisition by young people and as you will find out while in the state, our state is marching speedily towards all round socio-economic advancement through the focused implementation of the integrated economic development agenda of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu”.
The Live your dream event which is holding on Saturday 27/1/18 at Villa Roy hotel Umuahia will feature speakers such as Pastor Jerry Eze of Streams of Joy Ministry, Mrs Chinemenma Umeseaka and Chief Chima Anyaso.
