NEW EXECUTIVE OF NGWA PATRIOTS FORUM HOLDS INAUGURAL GENERAL MEETING(See Photos)
The Inaugural General Meeting of the Ngwa Patriots Forum (NPF) was held at West Brook Hotels, Owerri.
The Forum recently elected Chief Uzoma Ihuka as their President.
In an address, the President of the Forum, Chief Uzoma Ihuka disclosed that the Forum has acquired an Office Accommodation which would serve as both the Secretariat and a meeting point for members. He called for assistance from the State Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu to enable them acquire and build a permanent Secretariat for the Forum.
Chief Ihuka further informed that they have set up seven standing committees that would drive the vision of the new Executive of the Forum. He named the Committees to include: Development Committee, Public Administration Committee, Health/Insurance Committee, Education/Scholarship Committee, Empowerment/Poverty Alleviation Committee, Infrastructure Committee and Audit Committee.
He reiterated his determination to execute the cardinal objectives of the association which he listed as: “the obligation to develop and protect ourselves and our families; the obligation to protect, develop and defend Ala-Ngwa as well as the obligation to constantly place the interest of Ndi-Ngwa at the front burner both in the State and National discourse.”
The meeting was well attended with members who cut across all spheres of human endeavour, including: the President of Forum, Chief Uzo Ihuka, Mr Endi Ezengwa, Director General, Abia E4E, Sir Emeka Ubani, CSO to the Governor of Abia State,
The Ngwa Patriots Forum is a foremost home-based pan Ngwa Socio-Political Association, made up of mostly upwardly mobile sons and daughters of Ngwa Land who are successful in business and other professional pursuits.
Highlights of the meeting was the cutting of birthday cake in celebration of the 50th birthday of Mr. Ncheta Omerekpe.
