Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has been endorsed by the Oha Ukwa/ Ngwa Youths as their sole candidate for gubernatorial candidate in 2019 general elections.

The youths adopted the Governor during a mega rally they organized in his honour at the Ngwa High School, Aba.
Responding to the adoption, the Governor appreciated the youths for celebrating him. Dr. Ikpeazu urged them to ensure they get their Permanent Voters card to get ready for 2019 election, assuring that he would sustain the projects he is carrying out.
Speaking separately, the three Senators in Abia State, Enyinnaya Abaribe, T.A Orji and Mao Ohuabunwa as well some members
of Federal House of Representatives confirmed that Governor Ikpeazu is working and deserves reelection.
Ealierr, the motion for adoption of the Governor was moved by Prince Christopher Enweremadu and seconded by Chief Chinedum Elechi, while the Speaker, Abia House of Assembly , Rt. Hon. Chikwendu Kalu caped it up.
The youths also declared that there is no vacancy in Government House, Umuahia , come 2019.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the occasion, Prof. Uche Ikonne highlighted the youth oriented achievements of the Governor, saying that he deserves the rally organised for him by the youths.
According to him, Governor Ikpeazu has affected the lives of youths in the State positively.
In their speeches, the Chairman and Vice Chairman, Organising Committee of the event Chief Erondu Junior Erondu and Chief Ginger Onwusibe stated that they have observed carefully, the projects and programmes of the Governor, especially, as it concerns youths in the State, including how he is championing the campaign for ‘Made in Aba’ products patronage, and thought it wise to organise the rally to tell the Governor that the youths are happy for him and would want him to present himself for second tenure in office, assuring that there is no vacancy in Government House, come 2019 as he would lead Abia till 2023. @ Abia (state)
