It is not argumentative that the education sector of Abia state is receiving the desired attention it deserves under Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s administration. This is attributive to passion of our Governor to enhance learning, which is the surest way of youth empowerment and place our wards on the same page with their counterparts world-over
It could be recalled that in sequel to the Precious Education Empowerment program training of Abia teachers last year, the NGO, observed some deficiencies in the Nigerian schools system which spurred them to plan a way forward by joining hands with the government of the day to making sure that education of the Abia child is given the due consideration and value.
While speaking at the occasion, the president of the of the NGO has this to say. “Precious, my last child who is passionate about kids informed by zeal and passion to run this project”. While thanking the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for giving them the platform to express this passion and to make the vision a reality, she stated that the Governor charged them to ensure that at least one school in each of the 17 local government councils in the State is installed with these learning materials including the computers so as to enable the children grok its knowledge at tender age.
The teachers in any of these schools are expected to have a 3 month computer training through the education for employment (E4E) platform.
Speaking, the secretary to the State government Dr. Eme Okoro who represented the governor at the occasion assured the participants of the high regards of the Governor and maintained that with partnership such as that will improve the learning standard of the children.
The ASUBEB chairman, Mr. Kenechukwu Nwosu who had earlier welcomed the guests stated that the government has continued to invest huge amount into building of new schools, renovation of dilapidated ones while plans are on top gear to ensure to ensure that clears off outstanding salaries arrears.
