The Abia State National Association of North America (ASANA-NA) considers the arrest and detention of our Senior Ranking Member of the Senate, Senator Enyinnya Abaribe representing Abia South Senatorial District of Abia State, Nigeria as an insult and infringement on the principles of democracy, our collective right of free speech and a measure of continued suppression of our people.
We therefore, call on all Abians, and all Nigerians of good conscious to join us to demand for the immediate release of this outspoken Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe.
