Abia State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joe Osuji has described his late wife, Ezinne Queen Elizabeth Osuji, as a very humble woman, enduring, loving and tolerant.
Speaking with ABIA ONLINE in an interview at the thanksgiving service in honour of the deceased held at Jehovah Jireh Anglican Church, Trans-Egbu Parish, Dr. Osuji, who could not hold back his tears, explained that she was a good wife, who exhibited all the good qualities of the biblical virtuous woman.
While reminiscing on their time as husband and wife, he said that he cherished every moment they had together, praying God to accept her gentle soul in eternal rest.
On his part, the first son of the deceased, Mr. Fortune Ikechukwu Osuji who noted that his late mother put him through the responsibilities of a first son promised to carry on with the good qualities she left behind.
Mrs Adaukwu Doreen Ekeh, the first daughter, while describing her late mother as a woman with a golden heart, disclosed that her consolation was that she lived a faithful life in God and promised to represent her well even now that she was no more.
According Dr. Mrs. Delphine Ifeoma Amadi, the deceased second daughter, her mother was everything, mentor, a mirror with which she looked at herself, a teacher and moulder of life. She identified her late mother’s spiritual life as a strong legacy which she would tenaciously hold on to.
Also the last child of the deceased who is on currently observing his medical internship in the US, Dr. Kenneth Chukwuemeka Osuji described the lost of her mother as a great and irreparable lost, promised to have a fulfilled career as a way to repay the confidence she had reposed in him before death.
Late Ezinne Osuji’s younger brother, who is also the Mayor of Mbaitolu, Sir. Onumaegbu recalled that his late was known as ‘Onye nchikota’ that is one that harmonizes, for her role in holding family together, insisting it would be difficult to forget her demise in a hurry.
ABIA ONLINE reports that Late Ezinne Queen Elizabeth Akunnaya Osuji who died at the age of 58 years was survived by the Abia State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joe Osuji, husband, four children, grand children and many relatives.
She was laid to rest in her husband’s family house at Umuofor Egbu in Owerri North LGA in Imo State last week Saturday with many dignitaries in attendance including Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu.
