A PDP chieftain and former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Charles Ogbonna a.k.a Evula-ogu Ibeku has vowed that no Ngwa man will be governor in Abia State come 2023.
Chief Ogbonna who is seen in a viral video praying for a governorship aspirant from the Abia North senatorial zones of the State ended the prayer with “…onye Ngwa agagh i bu govano n’ala”, meaning “an Ngwa man will not be governor in Abia State”.
While the video has met with wide condemnation from Abians across-the-board, some people opine that the elder statesman spoke from the abondance of his heart.
