The Ministry of Agriculture has described as inaccurate and misleading, media reports alleging interference in the recent recommendation of IFAD LIFE-ND interview panel.
A release signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture Prof. Ikechi Mgbeoji explained that the interview panel for the recruitment and recommendation of staff to the IFAD Project in Abia State was not constituted by the Ministry or the State Government but rather by the Regional Management Unit of IFAD insisting that there was no room for any form of interference by officials in Government as against the report.
The release further advised media practitioners to always be objective and accurate in their reporting of events as the report of the interview panel is available to the media for proper information management.
