ABIA, NOT AS BEING PORTRAYED ON SOCIAL MEDIA BY SOME PEOPLE – AN ABIAN IN DIASPORA

22

A UK based Abia born entrepreneur, Ms Nikky Emelike has expressed surprise at the level of negative stories being shared on Social Media about Abia State, revealing that Abia is not as it is being painted on the Social Media by some individuals.

Ms Emelike, who is the CEO of NEASDEN COLLEGE, UK, was speaking in an interactive session with the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media & Publicity, Ubani Newman Ubani, maintained that what she saw with her eyes on moving round Abia is at variance with what they have been reading on the internet.

She urged Abians especially those that use the Social Media to be mindful of whatever they post online as that could go a long way in de-marketing the State and as such drive investors away from the State.

According to her, those who post all those bad images against the State do not even show the good things done in the State thereby creating an impression that the present government is not doing anything.

She called for support for the administration of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu who she believes would take Abia to the next level of development.

Recal that Ms Nikky Emenike is a proud daughter of Abia State who was recently honoured for her services to fellow Abians and Igbos in the UK.
