GOVERNOR IKPEAZU RECEIVES CERTIFICATE OF RETURN, VOWS TO FAST TRACK INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT

Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has received Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC ) with a promise to fast track infrastructural development in all areas of the State.
The Governor reaffirmed his commitment to focusing on the key pillars of development enunciated by his administration and added that the main objective in the next four years would be to provide Jobs for the teaming youths in the State.
He thanked Ndi-Abia for the privilege given to him to serve for the second term of four years and assured that he would carry everybody along in his resolve to develop the State.
In his speech at the occasion, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Joseph Ilo, congratulated the elected candidates on their successful elections. He thanked Abia people and residents for ensuring peace throughout the exercise and used the opportunity to appeal to the elected candidates to address the needs of the electorates who voted them in.
The event which took place at the INEC headquarters in Umuahia witnessed presentation of Certificates of Return to 24 State legislative members elect with the PDP as the majority with 19 seats, APGA, 3 seats and APC 2 seats.
