NSULU GAMES VILLAGE TO BE OFFICIALLY OPENED FOR SPORTS ACTIVITIES SOON – Governor Ikpeazu

Abia State would pay adequate attention to soccer development as football is a big business.
Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu stated this while receiving in audience, a delegation of the the Nigeria Football Federation led by the President, Amaju Melvin Pinnick.
The Governor said that the State would support the NFF to ensure football in Nigeria moves forward, expressing hope that, under the watch of Amaju Pinnick, football in Nigeria would record giant strides.
He said the State was proud of some former footballers in the State, including Uche Okechukwu, Kanu Nwankwo among others, stressing that soon, Nsulu Games village would be opened officially for sports activities. He also disclosed that great soccer stars would emerge in the State as a “catch them young” programme, aimed at grooming young sports men was on in the State.
Earlier, the NFF President, Amaju Melvin Pinnick called for all to support the Abia State and Federal governments and promised to develop Enyimba Football Club to an international brand.
He appreciated Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for a key role he played in ensuring he(Pinnick) was elected into the CAF Executive Committee, a position he said has eluded the nation for years.
Pinnick thanked Abians for giving him a good wife and described Abia State as a blessed State.
