GOVERNMENT GIVES 14 DAYS ULTIMATUM FOR ABA AND UMUAHIA TRADERS TO RELOCATE (SEE DETAILS)

Abia State Government has given fourteen days ultimatum for all traders operating within certain areas in Aba and Umuahia to relocate and move to approved markets.

The ultimatum which was contained in a statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Trade and Investment,
Rt. Hon. Cosmos Ndukwe listed the affected areas to include: Those trading along Ngwa Rd. Aba, those trading along Government Station layout and Akanu Ibiam Umuahia as well as those trading along Cooperative and Okpara Square Umuahia.

The statement also gave fourteen days notice to those trading around Enyimba area of Ariaria International Market Aba to pack their wares and move into the market. They include: Chukwudi Patrick of Micro Plaza,Mr. Uzoma Nwala of Enyimba Plaza, Mr. Ugochukwu Chima of I. K Plaza and Chairlady of Personal Touch Plaza.

The release further warned those affected to comply as the the Ministry of Trade and Investment will collaborate with other relevant Ministries and security agencies to enforce compliance at the expiration of the fourteen days.
