OUR SUPPORT FOR GOVERNOR IKPEAZU’S SECOND TENURE IS NON-NEGOTIABLE – UKWA/NGWA TRADITIONAL RULERS

The Council of Traditional Ruers of Ukwa/Ngwa extraction of Abia State says its support for the second term bid of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is non negotiable, affirming that the Governor has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he is the messiah Abians have been waiting for.

Speaking while receiving a delegation of Abia Women Mobilization Group, led by Chief (Mrs.) Nnenna Obewu Onwuka, at the royal palace of Eze Eberechi Dick, Chairman of South East Traditional Rulers Council, the Chairman of Obingwa LGA Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze F. N Ikpeazu assured the women that the Traditional Rulers are in support of the progress which Abia enjoys under Governor Ikpeazu.
Also speaking, Eze Love Nwaogu confirmed the unity support of the council in the second term bid of the Governor, saying that, “Our support for Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s second tenure is non-negotiable, we have discussed and deliberated on this and we are sure he is the best man to return to the Government House ”
Earlier, the leader of the group, Chief Mrs. Nnenna Obewu Onwuka called on the Traditional Rulers to look into their communities and join hands to stop any element that would try to limit the progress which Abia State is enjoying under the administration of Governor Ikpeazu. She further urged the Traditional Rulers to encourage their wards to support Governor Ikpeazu, including reelecting him.
Chief Mrs Obewe reiterated the commitment of the women of Abia State in joining hands with the Governor in building the State.
She requested the traditional Rulers to encourage their wards who might be interested to oppose Governor Ikpeazu come 2019 to redirect their strength towards supporting the Governor for the development of Abia.
In a vote of thanks, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Market Development, Hon. (Mrs.) Ijeoma Ngozi on behalf of the women thanked the Traditional Rulers for their efforts and support to the Governor which have brought development to the States. HRM Eze Eberechi Dick assured the women that equity must progress in the State and that everyone is aware that Governor Ikpeazu is the only assurance for the said equity.
Other members of Ukwa/Ngwa Traditional Rulers Council present at the occasion include: HRM Eze Victor Asonye, HRM Eze Harry Ugwuala, HRM Eze Ikeagwuchi Ekeke, HRM Eze Godwin Ukanna, HRM Eze Paul Okpanku and HRM Eze Magnus Mbaogu
